A researcher can create many studies within Medable Axon. A study is the container for all of the features described in this user guide.
When a user lands on the "Studies" home page from the Axon menu, they will see all of the studies in the Medable Organization.
Create Study
Navigation: Axon > Studies > Create Study
The following describes each field available to configure:

Codes | Special internal code you can give to your study. It may reference an external system or an IRB Application number | Short Text |
Description | Description of your study | Long Text |
Field | Field of study | Comma separated list of text |
Start Date | The beginning of the study. | Short Date - This field is informational only and can be used to trigger events in your app through customizations using Medable Cortex. |
End Date | The end of the study | Short Date - This field is informational only and can be used to trigger events in your app through customizations using Medable Cortex. |
Limited Enrollment | Requires users to have an invitation to participate in the study | Check box |
Public | If true, allows users to participate anonymously | Check box |
View/Edit/Delete Study
Navigation: Axon > Studies > View Study
Once a user creates a study, they can view/edit/delete the study from the view mode of the study record. Click Edit to update any study information. Click Delete from the bottom of the page from view mode to delete a study.
WARNING: Deleting a study will delete the study and all of the related data to that study. Be very careful when deleting studies in Axon
Study Information
Navigation: Axon > Studies> View Study > Edit Study Data
The study information screens allow you to create content that will display in the Axon App about your study. This information will appear in the one-time help tutorial about how to use the app and it will also show in the Resources menu in the Axon App.
The Study information screen comes with two preconfigured sections, "About this Study" and "How this study works." You can create any number of custom sections following those sections.
